 She was fast asleep. Why in the world did he pick up this human child? He sighed, leaning his head against the tree he sat upon. She was quiet now, but only because she was asleep. She still clutched to his furry pelt, mistaking it for a blanket. He looked to her sandals, which she had earlier claimed would make your hair long and beautiful. He almost laughed at her pitiful attempts to fool him. No one got the better of him.

He looked to her again, though, and frowned. Maybe it was he who had been fooled, after all.
