I can understand Sesshomaru's point....if the pups were born with Narakus taint, it would be more merciful to kill them while they have no way to harm their own mother then when they get older and either become controlled or become evil - either way would damage Kagomes psyche even more and probably even break her spirit.

But I am curious - Sesshomaru said it was only until the Golden Inu leave. So does this mean that once they leave, Kagome does not have to act as his mate? But if she does that, eventually rumors would circulate that she is not his mate or displeased him to where he might have cast her aside (is that even possible?) and then the Golden Inu would return.

I am also curious.....Sesshomaru said he has an attachment to Kagome (when he said mates must have some kind of attachment to each other) yet he is not his father and would choose his Estate over Kagome. Does that mean....even though he promised HE would protect Kagome, if he had to choose between Kagome and his Estate, he would choose his Estate? But then he'd bring dishonor upon his house because he gave his WORD that he'd personally would protect Kagome. Kagome specificially said, "you would protect me?" So then what would he do?

With pregnancy harmones, Kagome is bound to get even more depressed between the rape and now being used - again - by the Inu brothers and feeling like no one loves her or cares for her. Especially since she's away from her mother and the comfort of her family.

I really love your writing style!! Wonderful! I'm kind of confused about the pregnancy still. Ill just go back and read. I must have missed something. Can't wait for the next chapter! !!!

Tough decision. I agree with sesshomaru though. She would be better off as his mate.  I just hope her kids don't turn out to be evil. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Is it wrong of me to wish that the pregnancy is terminated, I mean no matter what in the end she was still raped and have to live with that.  But for some reason I just can't get into to the fact that it was a salamandar and not a humanoid one but a beast/animal.  I just can't imagine what the offspring will look like, so I'm really hoping for termination.  Once her and Sessh are mated they can have their own offspring, pups, and they will have a heir to the Western Lands.

p.s. I know it sucks but please allow this forced pregnancy to be terminated, maybe she is challenged for the right to be the Lady of West and in mist of her Victory she was injured, which terminated the pregnancy.

This was a great chapter, I'm glad the offspring will end up taking Sesshoumaru's essence and hopefully they will be devoid of the Salamandar and/or Naruka's essence, but if they are they will have to die.

Ah yes that made much more sense......I thought Sango meant she could not stop the attack on Kagome but now it makes much more sense at how she has become pregnant. But would her powers reject the child since it was from a rape and she didn't want this to happen to her?
I am so curious as to how Sesshomaru is going to avoid the General of the golden inu and war. Obviously it involves Kagome. But people of that time viewed rape as common and mostly the womans fault. If she was raped and not married to the man who raped her, she was considered shamed and would normally do seppku to restore honor to the family name. Does Sesshomaru feel the same way? And if they do become engaged/mated, then he would be the father figure of the youkai Kagome is pregnant with - and Sesshomaru wouldn't want that as he is lord and would need an heir.
