Bugger all.  Miroku could have lost the thumb in order to keep the others safe.  But I guess I can't blame him considering all the other torture he's been through.

I have come to the conclusion that more is at work here than what it seems.  Cause if Hideaki didn't know about the where abouts of Miroku and he doesn't know how Sango's dad died then there has to be a third party.  Or somebody not following orders, or Hideaki could have multiple personalities that dont talk to each other. lol

I love how you find alternative places and backgrounds for the characters. Rin and Sessh are merpeople, Shippo has a father who has adopted Kagome, Ah Un are now loyal to Kagome, etc.... (just please, tell me Naraku isn't going to pop up somwhere lol).

Such a sweet and tender ending to this chapter....No major and sharp plot points, just enough to give progress and not feel rushed.
