Arc-an Angel (Chapter 38) - Wed 30 Nov 2022

Sesshomaru's suffering is so heart breaking. I hope there are some moments of peace soon. Especially between him and Kagome. To see how close they were and then how things got so convoluted kills me and makes it hard to see them coming back into union.

Mynameishuman (Chapter 38) - Sat 02 Jul 2022

Sweet update! I am seriously on-the-edge-of-my-seat excited to see where this story goes!! Please update soon. Such a well-written, thought out masterpiece.

Arc-an Angel (Chapter 37) - Sat 07 Aug 2021

This story is so damn good!!! My mind is feeling about how they could have this connection, how her eyes are a different color, the dreams she's having and how exactly the story will progress considering how the two are reuniting!!!! Can't wait for more!

DemonicHost (Chapter 36) - Sat 10 Jul 2021

Are you sure about that last thing Sesshomaru? Are you sure she's not a priestess? Did you even ask her? Nooooo

s_spina (Chapter 36) - Mon 05 Jul 2021

well i cannot wait for Sesshoumaru's slap in the face by fate, when Kagome ends up having priestess powers XD

Are you going to be using the Inuyasha timeline or will it diverge with Kagome's and Sesshoumaru's ?

thanks :)

susie (Chapter 36) - Mon 05 Jul 2021

i was so excited to see an update for this!!  And you did not disappoint.

they meet again! and now we know the circumstances.  I love how you took us through his enterance to the series/manga, all his feelings and motivations.  and the tomb most of all.  i love getting his pov through that important moment, his feelings on inuyasha, and kagome's role in his vanquishing.

but most of all, this chapter for me was about his father.  i am so intruiged by their relationship and his feelings for him.  i'm always really interested to read how different authors choose to handle this aspect if they decide to tackle it, as there isn't much about it in canon, but it is one of the richest wells of emotion to explore with so many great possiblities.  the way you portrayed sesshoumaru's relationship with him lines up perfectly with my own hc's regarding their dynamic, so i really enjoyed this chapter.  his hero-worship, yet disdain.  his respect, yet denouncement.  proud, yet ashamed.  and all the insecurities: 'i'll never live up to him,' 'daddy, why wasn't i good enough for you?'  ugh, that is my sesshoumaru, and you totally nailed it.  such a complicated relationship, and i love getting into it!

so thanks for all the insight in that regard, i really enjoyed it.  and now that he knows who she is, i'm excited to read about how he deals with it, and see where it goes from here!

SmilingFool (Chapter 36) - Sun 04 Jul 2021

Poor Sesshomaru lost on what to do...  Can't believe his eyes or her name but in the end she helped take his arm...  That was a great chapter thank you for updating.

Mel (Chapter 35) - Sat 12 Jun 2021

Just reread this today, looking forward to the next update!

Michele_Lei (Chapter 35) - Sun 14 Feb 2021

Wow! I love these stories where Sess and Kags meet as kids.  There's a cuteness and sweetness and vulnerability that is irresistible.  I liked how enigmatic the presence of Miko is - we are led to believe she is imaginary but know that she has to be so much more since we know she is a real-life person.  She is his light, his conscience, his springtime ...and when he shuns her, he loses a very important side of himself.

I love this backstory to Sesshomaru which seems to explain so many things about Sess... and his contradictory ways.  He is so busy trying to fill his dad's shoes to keep his father's kingdom from falling apart even though his father didn't give him the means to be able to do it, while struggling with his father for abandoning him and his mother at the same time.  He carries a difficult burden.  He feels like he is not enough as a result even though he can never show that vulnerability to others and has to hide behind a facade and a persona of unshakeable strength all while being compared to his late father and the feeling of not measuring up. He uses finding Tetsusaiga - believing that retrieving his father's sword will give him what he feels has been stolen from him, his birthright, as a means to an end as a way to keep the kingdom unified by sheer strength and power -also as a means of escaping his lordly duties.  I had always wondered why the Lord of the West had such a fearsome title but seemed to ultimately be just a roving vagabond.  What a great way to explain such a conundrum!

The story is very well-written and am looking forward to the author finally unraveling the mystery of how the miko Kagome was able to be in Sesshomaru's time and grow up with him.  Of course, I am excited for them to finally meet and for him to know his imaginary friend is not quite so imaginary. Ooh, the suspense is killing me!

Mecca (Chapter 35) - Fri 16 Oct 2020

This is so well written. So anxious to read where their stories converge, and his reaction to Miko being real. It did not seem forced, but was rather seamless. I love the things you filled in of Sess's history. Thank you for sharing!

Shastuhh (Chapter 35) - Fri 18 Sep 2020

I am just reading this and well done sith Sesshomaru's back story. From you a/ns you are worried it mind not flow with the old and the new however its blended seamlessly I read this all in one day and I am loving the story

SmilingFool (Chapter 35) - Thu 17 Sep 2020

Wow that was an awesome chapter....  Can't wait till he meets Kagome boy the shit will hit the fan...  lol update when you can.

Mecca (Chapter 34) - Sat 01 Aug 2020

I'm so glad you got the content back! I sure hope you can continue this story till the end. I am curious to see how it will converge with the canon part of the story and how Sesshomaru will react to seeing Kagome, if Miko even looks vaguely like her. Thank you for updating!

bookgirl813 (Chapter 34) - Sat 01 Aug 2020

Excellent. The prelude to the journey. I'm curious how things will play out?

First, find that kappa and the staff.

susie (Chapter 34) - Sat 01 Aug 2020

This is fabulous!

i love prequel stuff with sesshoumaru after his father but before inuyasha, and this is all so interesting and fun.  running things with all his power and angst and wit, and i enjoy how you fill in the mysterious holes surrounding the morsels we were given in the show.  i love all the banter, he is so clever and i like to watch that, and everyone's faith in him feels good.  Bokuseno's the best, and i like how he believes in him too, and admits his father screwed him over.  The Devas and dragons better watch out!  great update!

oh, and im so happy you got your stuff back!  thats great news.  that's gotta be a relief for you, because it is for me lol.  thanks for writing!

bookgirl813 (Chapter 33) - Thu 23 Jul 2020

Goodness, I don't know how I missed this story!  I adore the interactions over the years and then the quick flashback - or forward - which answered one of my questions. I almost wondered if Sesshomaru and Kagome were both in their own time at those ages and somehow communicating across time as they grew up.  However, I don't think that is the case and so far, this has kept me guessing!

i am so sorry you Lost all of your history. my motto?  Get a back up.  And a back up for your back up.  There is nothing worse than compute's eater a writer's blood, sweat and tears.

The ideas will come in time, take the time you need. You have a lot of unfinished fics so you may want to bite in small pieces!

Take care and above all, stay safe!
