Thank you! That was lovely..it carried this sense of "First times are special, especially when they go right" to it. As in..I get the feeling that though Ses may see many Christmases and Christmas trees, and even HAVE better and more elaborate ones in his own home in the future, nothing will beat the beauty of this tree in his eyes. It was the first tree he ever saw, the winter he first fell in love and it was shown to him by the woman he was falling in love with - and then it was this strange, alluring, almost miracuous thing from the future. 

It must have represented magic to him. The magic of firsts.
