So we're in 1615, this time for good. That was a fantastic chapter. I figured that you'd approach the time issue eventually, since the jewel was still a serious issue, but this... It was sweet and tidy and I love the way you wrapped the things up for the shikon. It's fitting. I just hope those shadows didn't hear or see anything after they murdered Kagome. Speaking of overhearing important facts, did everyone die or did they leave the room?

The next chapter will be split into two parts, I hope. One part about the old emperor's kid, the other half a wedding. 

I didn't get a notification of your update! But I made it. And wow. That was disturbing. A dip into string theory and parallel universes? Had that golden string always been there, or was it a sign of desperation? Does that mean that Masa will one day be able to travel through the well? Will Inuyasha have to to retrieve Kagome since only he can travel through the well? Is Sango okay? @____@

This is for sure one of my favourite Sess/Kag fics I've read in a while. Story is written strongly. Grammar is solid. Smut is descriptive and passionate. I look forward to future chapters and works.

Talking about sacred beast.... If we are to follow Rumiko Takahashi's revelation about Sesshoumaru ’s design origin and inspiration as well as how Japanese language derive from Chinese, Sesshoumaru is also a sacred beast known as Tian-Guo or in Japanese, Tengu. Both meaning Divine Dog. Except in Japan that dog is changed into crows or long nosed red faced winged beings.

Tian-Guo is a large dog who ate the sun and desecrated the moon, a black comet that devours the heaven also known as the eclipse. I checked Japanese folklore and myth and there are no mention of Inuyoukai or large dog beasts for youkai other than the dog head that is the result of a Japanese curse where a dog is starved while being buried to their neck underground with a meal just at the end of their snout. Once the dog's neck elongated enough and they are starved and tortured to the point of feral, they were beheaded and the dark spirit remained of the dog's hunger and hatred was enslaved as a dark shikigami.

Can't see Sesshoumaru as an enslaved beast...

DaiTengu or Greater Divine Dogs are considered almost a sort of deity. While KoTengu or Lesser Divine Dogs are true demons that pillage and cause all sorts of grief and mischief. This also explain Inu no Taisho's design with the Mokomoko appearing like wings on his back. Perhaps Japanese painters of the era saw Inu no Taisho and mistook his Mokomoko for wings.

That being said, Inuyasha is a shrine guard dog alright. And maybe Sesshoumaru is Kagome's patron deity and is enshrined there.

Ah, how excellent that our little Rin gives lessons to the person that will become a great leader in human history!!! I'm sure others have guessed by now, but I really wasn't surprised when I found out for sure. :) I'm sure the great daimyo learns much of what he knows from Sesshoumaru-sama anyway, yes? And our RIN!!! OMG, you weren't kidding about the "little General" thingy! More awesome WORDS, more progress, but with the A/N below, MOAR ANGST!!!! What a terrific roller-coaster, though. Srsly. Loving the ups and downs and can't wait for more!

Naughty white monkeys and shades of Toyotomi, Bat Girl!  This last update rocked!  It was great and splendid.  Rin is what all these kids should aspire to be.  So glad that Kagome gave her peace and the love she coveted but dared not aspire to. Poor dear, she was content to be exceptional and part of Sesshoumaru's household and life.  Now she is Rin and more. Another great chapter and more love to you and your writing.

And so we arrive at childhood's end and Kagome's beginnings. I loved the relevance of this chapter. We are all responsible for children who have lost their families or are impoverished.  So many ways to contribute.

Rin is such an adorable little bloodthirsty general. I love that she's found her footing and place and that in her quest to be just like daddy, she's finding encouragement and patience. 

Since Toyotomi is now following Rin, we'll be skipping that whole Oda thing... Right? There's been enough trouble that we should just go through with the unification and place Rin in command and have him as her second. Technically  he'd still be fulfilling his role in history. That counts for something.

How are they going to get 106 children back to Edo?

Ah, so it is adoptees. I like that angle. And I like that Rin was up front about her worries and has taken charge of the children, showing how good a leader and big sister she can be. Just like Daddy. Very sweet. 

A baby! Oh, poor Shippou... Why didn't he ever tell evryone how young her was? He probably IS adorable, but it's still sad.
