Sesshomaru was so raw in this chapter, so on the brink emotionally that when he looks at Kagome and says "Pride is worthless" compared to everything he has gained it makes such an impact. All of that rage and emotional pain boiling underneath his skin, made my heart pound and lungs constrict while wondering when he is finally going to lose all matter of control. And the fact that he acknolwedges his fault in the death of his father makes me hope that he is finally starting to become the youkai that needs and should be.

That has to be the best to date.  Pride is a huge part of the Japanese culture.  You made this admission believable without diminishing the character.  Kudos mija
