 A really attractive cockroach.... -snickers- What's funny is that at the beginging of the chapter, (before I read it) a thought poped up in my head about youkai purring. Then it led me to thinking of Purring Envy! Then I couldn't resist and actually read it.  -sighs- That was funny, cute, and romantic. Thank you for this read.

I think Kagome doesn't see this one thing. If she were to take the heir away via-faking death/kidnapping. It can cause great turmoil. Example; By leaving her own.. island small skirmishes and other political matters will or can happen. Even another island or state could try to take it over and put another person on the throne. Well that is unless the king or queen had died also… Hnm. If they were old they might adopt and if they were younger they might just have more kids and rename a new heir.

Anyway. So far I like your story. Hope to read more!
