There should be a way to get the two them back together, or make Miroku fall for a demon and attempt to persuade the council to change the rules and then Sesshomaru can follow up on those changed without it looking like he's too desperate,

     There are very few stories I can recall reading that have pulled me back to read them a second time. This is one of them! The characters are well played and the emotion is thought out and thorough. I can see there is a backstory behind it, but we have yet to see much of it.
