there are no 'singular' or 'plural' words in japanese. for example 'inu' could be dog or dogs, its all in context. also, many words will have more than one japanese word translation, onna i beleive is the more casual term, there are others which would be used for different levels of respect. so you could either say 'a onna went to the hot spring' or 'all the onna went to the hot spring' hope this clarifies things. im glad your actually trying to use japanese correctly at least, so many authors just incorrectly insert it thinking it makes them cool when they are really just destroying what is normally a beautiful language. lol good luck
