ponpiri (Chapter 4) - Tue 03 Oct 2017

I know this story is older, but I have to disagree with kimchi's assessment that the ways in which Kagome was tested is unfair.

What's driving me crazy is how weak of mind she is. Not to give too much away, but her interactions with the first family is them encouraging her, offering to train her, reassuring even though they've gone through tragedies. The one scene after the tragedy where she starts crying AGAIN about her circumstances was so frustrating. She made everything about herself. She just came across as weak, unknowingly  self-centered and pitiful in a bad way. And that's why I believe it was imperative that she proves herself worthy because so far in chapter 4, she's incredibly pitiful and borderline bratty.

That being said, the writing is beautiful. Even with all the criticism I have for Kagome in this story, she's pretty much in character. It's a bit jarring imagining Sesshoumaru this way, but the characterization makes sense for the story.

Amber (Chapter 10) - Fri 09 Jun 2017

This is one of my favorite stories. I'm so glad I found it again. It's beautifully written and is always a pleasure to read. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to read a fantastic story. Very well done, thank you thank you <3

KEdakumi (Chapter 10) - Thu 21 May 2015

Ahhhh...here's the rest of it. Love how it turned out. This was such a good story.

DeathDagger (Chapter 10) - Sun 12 Oct 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed the way you merged the different timelines and nationalities. I was a little bummed that Anubis didnt appear in the story more but it was great nontheless. Beautiful!

Sin (Chapter 10) - Thu 11 Jul 2013

This was such a great read, I love it! I stayed up literally all night reading it. I didn't go to sleep until 5:30am because I just couldn't stop reading. Great work! I would love to read more fics like this one.

Tori (Chapter 10) - Fri 23 Nov 2012

I just have to tell you how completely and utterly BEAUTIFUL and sophisticated your writing is. I'm so glad you shared your gift with us greedy writers. You weaved through so many time periods and incorporated so many different elements to it. And I just adored how everything came together in the end.

I felt like I could see every detail, picture every outfit, every scene, and feel every emotion. You managed to do so much with this. Everything was completely original. You put the Gods in here and just wow. I absolutely adored this.

I'm glad I was able to read your writing.

Ithereal (Chapter 10) - Sat 11 Aug 2012

kimchi759 (Chapter 10) - Sat 16 Jun 2012
Yeee! I was confused by the time jump at first but I got over it. Story has been favorited! :)

kimchi759 (Chapter 7) - Sat 16 Jun 2012
I am currently in the middle of reading chapter 7 but I couldn't hold back anymore. I understand the point of all this testing and such but it is prickling my feminist nature to have Kagome comstantly proving herself. It was irksome, to say the least, to have every obstacle placed in her way. It feels like Sesshoumaru is up on a pedestal and while she's trying to climb up to join him, rocks and debris are being pelted at her. Even her noble sacrifice was degraded to being classified as a test. *bangs head against nearest wall* I feel the relationship is unbalanced. It was especially unnerving to have her say she wanted to be "worthy of him"...all while he is put under no such duress or interrogations about the cost and consequences of their love, nor about her human and miko nature and his acceptance of those. *continues banging* But this has been my only complaint (though a significant one) thus far. Otherwise, I am supremely overjoyed to have discovered this well written fanfic. I love the detail and the way it delves inti the problems and romances of other characters. :)

SP00K (Chapter 10) - Tue 03 Apr 2012

Another great story, so origional :) I loved it thank you.

LemonLeaves (Chapter 10) - Thu 09 Feb 2012

When I began reading this excllent story, I was hit by the most powerful wave of deja vu.  About halfway through section one, I realized that I had read it before.  I spent the rest of the story trying to remember what happened at the end to no avail.  I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully written it was-- for the last year or so I've been struggling to find fanfics that aren't cliche or filled with obvious grammatical errors.  Thank you so much for providing this beautifully written, imaginative tale of your.  Reliving this journey was a wonderful experience.  Embracing Ice is one of the reasons why I have been able to continue reading within this fandom.  :)

>.< (Chapter 10) - Tue 13 Sep 2011

I love this story. It was good on FanFiction, but I'm glad I found the rest here and got to read the non-edited versions. They are really good. It was very good story line and was written well.

Kreyana (Chapter 10) - Fri 12 Aug 2011

This was such a great story, I enjoyed it emensely! Started reading yesterday, and only stopped to sleep lol There was one thing back when Ishi left that I forgot to pause my reading to comment on, so here it is...

Loooooool Someone had a Nanny McPhee moment~ Awesome xD

...So yeah. Great! I only kinda wish I knew a bit more. Yay for Shippou and Sango, as far as "Miroku had it coming." And also a big old "lol" to "It is not every day that one gets to court a miko - especially one who has only just graduated from high school" But with that, you have me wondering how old their daughter is. Obviously born before Kagome was in High School, but still... xD

And the whole "How will the family take it" thing, but oh well! Imaginations, run wild!

I am very glad I decided to read this, and thank you very much for writing it!

Nyuka (Chapter 10) - Tue 26 Apr 2011

I guess the only question left unanswered would be the one about Anubus....Kagome never did get to call on him for anything...though she probably could have a bunch...oh well all is good....Great story....I especaly enjoyed the fact that you didn't skimp on the details...thankyou for that and I like how the event's couldn't be changed even if some where not completly correct form the show I don't really care....Great story....Keep writing.

karen (Chapter 10) - Fri 22 Apr 2011

i loved it so much. hope to read more of your stories :P

Kimi Rain Matsu (Chapter 1) - Wed 06 Apr 2011

This is a superbly written story. I am very intrigued and looking forward to the next chapter. I am thinking of pulling an all-nighter. Keep up the good work.

Eden (Chapter 10) - Sun 13 Mar 2011

A jump in time much? Lol. I was half expecting to see a lemon the next chapter *nudges* xD. I'd love to see what happens next if at all possible in the future. It would seem complex and interesting with the meeting of Kagome's parents and what adventures they'd fall into. Just more Sesshoumaru haha. You portray him so well (needless to include Kagome, it's a given in my eyes :D).

This is yet one of the few that bring me out of my apathy in reality. I don't know the proper words to express my gratitude in such a constructed story that I layed eyes upon. Thank you. I love your mind. If you do ever have a sequel in mind, I'll always be checking back and not expecting it any time soon, of course. One thing I've learned to accept is patience.

When you mentioned you cut the story short, was it because you thought it would be too long? Don't cheapen your story for the wishes of a few reviewers or whoever said for you to do such a thing, or whatever the reason for that matter. Even if it wasn't that, may be it was because you thought you'd be afraid you wouldn't have the drive much longer and something came up? I'm only guessing, but if it's of any indication, I prefer longer stories and your full thought out perceptions. Regardless of the 'time,' it is your story and you'll see it through your way, we are just the lucky ones to read it.  I highly doubt I'm the only one who thinks so xD

iloveprettysilverhair (Chapter 10) - Sun 06 Mar 2011

SashaMarie (Chapter 10) - Sat 05 Mar 2011
