This was a wonderfully written story!  I loved the plot and all the character interaction.  I think it's one of the better one-shots I've ever read.  I really hope you continue to write.  I really like how you switched back and forth between the song/past and present.  =)

I'm surprised that you didn't receive more reviews. Overall, I was very pleased with this story. Your writing style is great: It's detailed, the plot moves, and I am constantly entertained. The story line diverges from the little mermaid, and that is what I love about it. Although, Kagome's character seems to be a little meek at times, I think it's still on par with the characters personalities. I could clearly see the connection of how Kagome blindly follows after Inuyasha in the series while he constantly hurts her. I just loved this story! Thank you!

I really enjoyed this story, it's very different from the norm, and I mean that in a positive way :)  Very nicely done how you interwove one fairytale with another. Also, the set up of this story, together with the use of somewhat old fashioned words really gave this story an authentic feel to it! Well done and I hope we can see more original work from you in the future.
