loveyaa (Chapter 8) - Wed 13 Oct 2010

Im quite intrigued as to where this story is going. I can't wait for more and maybe a few clues as to where this whole thing is leading us to. til next time :)

knifethrower (Chapter 8) - Wed 13 Oct 2010

Ha Ha!  Sesshy's going to be a modern-day hero!  I love this so much, in so many ways.  I'll probably have to read it every six months or so, and review all the chapters again, because each one generates so many thoughts.  They start out close to the actual theme, and then they stray because of the themes you weave into your story, and the associations that your writing is dredging up from the depths of my mind and memory.  Sesshomaru learns about law, and how it relates to morality.  This sets off a memory of reading a psychology textbook, and in it was an explanation of the levels of morality, one of the lower levels being the law.  Then I think about how young I was when I learned that lesson, and why.  From Junior High onward, I grew up in a village, which was still suspended in that last remanents of 19th century existence, which has since been washed away by the passing of the 20th, and now the advent of the 21st century.  But at the time, almost all of the people for miles around had known eachother since childhood, and their parents and grandparents had known eachother since childhood as well.  Justice was seldom meted out by the sheriff's deparment, which consisted of two men for the entire county.  But every thief, arsonist, con man and abuser was known by his neighbors, and the scales of justice functioned without much interference from the law.  More effectively than things are done today, assuredly.  As a "stranger in a strange land", Sesshomaru is processing the modern world through the filter of his training and philosophy, and I can't wait to follow the path where events lead him...

knifethrower (Chapter 6) - Wed 13 Oct 2010

I know, I know.  I already reviewed this chapter.  But reading it again left a full but hollow, wistful but happy feeling in my chest, and I had to let out something, and I'm the only one here.  So here goes:  It is perfect.

knifethrower (Chapter 3) - Tue 12 Oct 2010

I know I've already reviewed this, but I'm re-reading, and I feel like I have to tell you again how beautifully written this is...

Trouble_In_Shangri_la (Chapter 8) - Mon 11 Oct 2010

This keeps getting more and more interesting. I wonder why he wants sleeveless...

Quiet Whisper (Chapter 8) - Mon 11 Oct 2010

Mistress Sianna (Chapter 7) - Sat 29 May 2010

Aaaaahhh!! I love this chapter!!! :D

I was wondering how you were going to pull this all together! I can hardly wait for the next chapter! Knowing you I don't know what, if any relationship there's going to be between Sesshoumaru and Kagome, but at this point I'm not really concerned. I am just so thoroughly enjoying your portrayal of Sesshoumaru in this.

Hope all is going well with your original writings!

TTFN!!

Mistress Sianna (Chapter 6) - Sat 29 May 2010

“The clamps were left on the joints for four hours as Bikini Girl instructed, and as I have learned, her instructions are not to be trifled with..." I literally LOL'ed at this part! could you imagine Sesshoumaru actually saying that??!!

This chapter really tickled me! The idea of Sesshoumaru as a carpenter in modern times is really intriguing to me. I guess I find the idea of him actually doing manual labor refreshing compared to how he normally is portrayed. I am really eager to see how this story continues to play out!

TTFN!

Mistress Sianna (Chapter 5) - Sat 29 May 2010

I am back after a looooong hiatus!! *Le Blush*

Well, the good news, (for me at least) is that I have two more chapters to read!! :D This story just gets more and more interesting! I was really wondering what the heck Sesshoumaru was about to do with that knife! Though thinking about it, I'm not sure why I was worried. A knife wouldn't be enough to kill Sesshoumaru.

Anyway, I enjoyed the chapter as usual and I can't wait to see what happens next!

TTFN!

KyuubiPandoraChan (Chapter 7) - Fri 28 May 2010

Your story is so good, I don't think I can continue that story of mine which nearly has the same concept of Sesshoumaru being in the modern world after a long absence from the world around him. This is good.

taixi (Chapter 7) - Thu 27 May 2010

just a teensy bit confused - why would they bother to abandon the lumber and the receipt?

knifethrower (Chapter 7) - Thu 27 May 2010

I'm really liking this interaction between Sesshomaru and Souta...  I like stories with relationships other than just romance and sex.

Trouble_In_Shangri_la (Chapter 7) - Thu 27 May 2010

Wow, maybe Sesshoumaru will fully understand how Rin saw him after this :) But why did they leave their belongings?

L-desu (Chapter 7) - Thu 27 May 2010

/sigh. what an awesome chapter.  soft, inspiring, yet bold and defined.  i love how you write, and how you're so good at keeping the characters in line with their personalities.  can't wait to see the incident on the news and by-standers recount of what happened.  ^_^

kagomesirene (Chapter 7) - Thu 27 May 2010

awww...i just now noticed your story and have to say it's really great...i'm happy that sesshoumaru isn't only dependened on kagome here, but that grandpa and souta are helping him to find a new path for himself...i think that's especially important...he needs to build his new self before he can start to get to know kagome better...i like it that in this story you don't have to ask yourself if sesshoumaru is only in love with kagome cause she's the only one he can depend on/ is his connection to the modern world XD

and that souta's words (that he's a hero) seem to somehow touch him is soooo cute XD

please update soon

L-desu (Chapter 6) - Sun 23 May 2010

chapter well done!  and i really think u captured the soul of a man, truly and truly.

knifethrower (Chapter 6) - Sun 23 May 2010
This was a gem of a chapter. Polished, faceted, symetrical! Really, I would say it could stand on its own as a little perfect one-shot. Your descriptions of the trees, and the shrine, the old rake Sess hauled out from the back of the shed, Sesshomaru's interaction with Gramps, Souta's carting the big roll of rice paper when he wouldn't do dishes, everything said so much about boys and men and old men... I can't express my admiration enough!

Trouble_In_Shangri_la (Chapter 6) - Sat 22 May 2010

The last line of that gave me a giggle fit. It's so true. Poor Sesshoumaru, totally lost in a new world. Great analogy about comparing carpentry to swordsmanship. You could say the same about a surgeon and a mechanic, too. :) Great work!
