I think Kagome is still in shock from losing Inuyasha. She is acting sad in her own way. Great chapter!

I'm not generally a fan of the "sesshoumaru as human" (or kagome as non-human for that matter) type of story; however, this story does a good job of keeping him in character even as a human. He's cold (practical) but has his own sense of honor. I like the way you show them slowly acclimating to each other.  Good first chapter.
