I so want more.

Love this story. Please update!

WhiteRose-Kurama (Chapter 3) - Wed 02 Sep 2009
I was very surprised that she survived the poison, but what should I expect... after all she's too stubborn to die. I still wonder what her backstory is... what secrets does she hide behind stormy blue eyes? I look forward to what you have in store for her. Keep up the good work and update soon. :P P.S. - Will you ever elaborate on what happened to Kikyou, Kaede and Inuyasha? If they have died, then I'd like to know how.

I think your characterizations are quite consistent. Sesshoumaru especially. From his tightly reined emotions to his constant annoyance regarding Kagome, you've kept him believable, reacting (or not) to different situations in different ways. I like how you've given him substance. He isn't all coldness and apathy, something I noticed from the very first chapter when his curiosity was triggered by Kagome. I really do enjoy the Sesshoumaru you've created in this universe though. Regarding Kagome, I dunno but I feel this is my first, real glimpse of her. The first two chapters set her character up nicely and gave us a good look of what she was capable of (kick ass, that's for sure and I loooove it!), but chapter three, I felt just really solidified her. I think it might be because she talks a lot more so we're privy to more of her thoughts through her words, to what makes her tick. It humanized her and made me reel back a little and think, okay, she isn't just a scarred, sarcastic, gun toting badass youkai killer with a dark past. She feels guilt and remorse and reminds me of tired old woman who's seen so much yet the next moment, a shy little girl who closes herself off for fear that others might see too much. That longing for a world free of Naraku is so clear in her voice yet it's terribly sad that she's already thinking she might not live to see it. It was refreshing to see another facet of her character. And their relationship, sharp barbs and all, is progressing very well so no worries on that. I'm almost afraid it's gonna fall apart seeing how tenuous it is. But they need each other, whether they admit it or not. I feel they both ground each other into the here and now, rather than the past and the trappings of very real and desolate future if they fail to kill Naraku. So yes, I personally think their relationship is realistic, if not a little amusing. I think Kagome enjoys pushing his buttons. Okay, so this review was ridiculously long, but I just wanted to give you thorough answers and tell you how I felt about this little gem of yours. You asked for it. LoL. But I'll be looking out for more updates, whether it's Ruins, Chantefable, Chording Circles, or anything else you may write! -hasu (shutting up now)

Ceferadel (Chapter 2) - Wed 22 Jul 2009
I really love it. Excellent plot and the characters are wonderful so far. Can't wait to see where you will take this next!

Augh! I'm so gonna murder my modem! Typed out a nice review and it went mental on me!
Right. The review. Making this a collection of one-shots doesn't diminish the impact of the chapters, I assure you. This chapter detonates like a canon; it resonates long after the gun is fired. Gritty action compounded with high emotions *slurp* - delicious!
Looking forward to more ;)

hasu86 (Chapter 2) - Tue 21 Jul 2009
You definitely caught my attention with this. Very well written and engaging, with promises of more intricacies to come. The world you've created is also pretty intriguing and calls to my inner lover of futuristic AUs. I'm interested to see where you take this, as well as finding out why Kagome is the way she is. Looking forward to more! -hasu

WhiteRose-Kurama (Chapter 2) - Tue 21 Jul 2009
This was as amazing as the last chappie. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I would like to know how Naraku's reign of terror first started. How was Kagome dragged into this? What did Naraku do to her? I look forward to finding out why Kagome is so distracted when the bomb destroyed the human settlement. Keep up the good work and update soon :p

Nysrina (Chapter 1) - Sat 27 Jun 2009
Where's the blah? I can see no blah.. ;p It's dark, with a lot of potential post-apocalyptic juiciness. You can go far with this (if writer's block don't come knocking again). Only one thing though, what would there be left for Naraku to rule over if everything is dead or dying? Master of a dead planet? Hee...

sweetest angel (Chapter 1) - Thu 25 Jun 2009
it's a really interesting begining. I can't wait for more! please, update as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!!

taixi (Chapter 1) - Thu 25 Jun 2009
not stylistically blah at all. in fact, it reads like the beginning of a great epic. as the other reviewers have noted, I also hope you continue this. there is so much potential in this cataclysmic future (or present) for which you've just begun setting the scene...along with so many unanswered questions. Some of the more immediate ones being: why is Sess in charge of this movement? how was he personally hurt by Naraku (since he acknowledges *everyone* has been impacted, that must include himself)? was kagome's family killed in the war/terrorism by Naraku? I also wonder how much of a divergence from canon this is (obviously, Kagome never traveled back in time, since Inu was sealed for hundreds of years rather than 50. but did she grow up in a similar family scenario at least until her early teen years? how did she learn to use her miko powers? was naraku sitting around and scheming for 500 years, or did he periodically clash with others over the years? how did Inu and Sess reconcile? Ah yes, there's a lot for you to play with here!

Noacat (Chapter 1) - Wed 24 Jun 2009

Wow. I love the brilliant post-apocalyptic Mad-Max-ian vibe in this story. I'm not usually one to favor super miko, super bitter Kagome, but this characterization fits so well and is nicely done. I really hope you will continue with this, I'm on the edge of my seat!!

Kagome1616 (Chapter 1) - Wed 24 Jun 2009
I love it! When you mentioned it being a experiment does that mean you might change it to a chapter story? I really hope you do!!
