Wow, I think Sesshomaru's family doesn't love him with how they treat him. I think its more out of obligation and duty if it weren't Sesshomaru would have known what love and care is not silence. This will seem more true when the baby is born aka Inu Yasha and his father Toga shows the baby/boy love and care Sesshomaru never seen or experienced in his entire life except for Kagome.
Oh man that was good and yes kids do the darnest things..... Mine was with the boy of the family I worked for and took care of being a housekeeper and nanny... OMG even his parents scolded him many times for his indecent acts but even when growing up he still called me his at least he stopped running around naked... So so embarasing. It does happen especially when you work for rich families and their kids....
