Damn it, I realize I'd meant to write a review but I think I got distracted with work. I blame you for posting these during my shifts =P

In any case, I love the idea of revisiting old fanfic tropes. I've been reading S/K since 2002 (good lord) and I've seen them all. Revisiting old favorites tend to remind me of how much my tastes have changed over time... and sometimes I am unpleasantly surprised by how cringe some of those old stories turn out to be. 

I actually wrote a parody of this same trope back in '04, because 'Kagome witnesses Inuyasha and Kikyo under the Goshinboku and runs away to have an emotional crisis' was a tired old wheeze even then! Mine was just for the lulz though. Yours has such a lovely ending. 

I know you said "end " but I hope you decide to turn this into a chapter story! You drew me in, and now I'm hungry for more!
