The Unfashionable Thief (Chapter 2) - Thu 26 Jan 2017

Another chapter out already! Impressive, my friend. I don't know how you are cranking these out so fast in such high quality unless you already had them pre-written (never hurts to hope).

I love the symbols and imagery you use to illustrate the theme of Kagome's conflicting emotions here. We see the broken village, the broken wood and the clay barely holding it all together representing how Kagome feels about herself right now. Then, the optimistic villager talks about using something broken to improve the walls, and I have a feeling this was meant to be a lesson for Kagome along with a hint about how she can repair her bow.

Things certainly seem to be at a low for our heroine here. I love the realistic twist on her injuries, though I'm afraid of how Kagome is going to handle this. In history, samurai who were injured like this and could no longer wield their swords often committed ritual suicide because they felt so ashamed and hopeless without their blades. I'm very interested in seeing where you'll be taking this next.

Sesshoumaru's appearance was unexpected and awesome! Sparks are already flying between the two, and the mark on her shoulder...how will that play into all of this? I'm so thrilled to see. Looking forward to more.

The Unfashionable Thief (Chapter 1) - Thu 26 Jan 2017

Oh...OH...wow. The imagery at the beginning of this chapter is stunning! The theme carries all the way through, and the character feels real and complex. I desperately want to know where this is going, and if this was a book on the shelf, I would definitely be flipping to the next pages.

I can't believe you are working on two serious stories like this at the same time...Limerance is complicated and now you've added this, too.

My friend, you need to step out into the real world and start publishing. I'm quite serious. You mentioned writing a novel, right? Have you tried publishing it already? If you need a few pointers, I can give you some from my personal experience as an editor. I'm curious, do you have a beta reader that proofreads your work before you post? I'm just so shocked at how typo-free and just...complete...each chapter is.

Now you've got me in a pickle. I want you to update as quickly as possible, but I can tell that you put a lot of time and thought into each of these chapters, so I understand if the next update won't be for a while. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, especially because these are Kagome/Sesshoumaru stories that we all love so much here.
