First off I'd like to say that I'm glad you actually liked it! ting this chapter. I can understand why it was such a surprise but it did have multiple purposes that will be seen later. The main one being "Does Kagome really love Sesshoumaru or does she love the idea of him?". He's the "Killing Perfection" for a reason and so it was a glimpse into what is and always has been a part of Sesshy's life as a demon and as a Lord with lands to protect. In regards to the development of the two Inu brothers: Like you pointed out they both have a dark aura. Obviously I'm not going to make their darkness the soul theme to them but it is a part of who they are. I'm not going to make Sesshou a sudden bleeding heart once Kag cracks his shell, I can assure you, but he also won't be a stick that gives no love. InuYasha... Well you'll just have to see with him. lol
