Even if Kagome didn't have any reason to feel guilt over Inuyasha, she still did love him, and love is anything but rational.
And for the record, I think in Inuyasha's mind, he'd rather feel he's cheating on KIKYO with his budding feelings for Kagome. I don't think a person can really cope well if their long dead lover would be suddenly back to haunt them, at the same time as there would be a new love interest, who'd bear a striking resemblance to the dead lover. How can their heart be anything but confused? Especially when you pointed out that Inuyasha's not even an adult yet.

As for Kagome not focusing on Sesshoumaru, she does not love him yet. And I need Kagome to fully get over Inuyasha before she can properly fall for Sesshoumaru.
I also have my reasons for Kagome not to focus on Sesshoumaru yet. It's all for the bigger picture.

As for Miroku's advice, I can't quite understand what your problem was for it. I believe that his advice to talk to Sess to be very clever, and also I think that when one is physically exhausted, there are lot less random thoughts whirling inside one's heard, so the "make yourself busy" piece of advice would work, too. Of course he could have advised Kagome to masturbate, but I didn't want to go there.

Actually, I would like to point out that she's not wearing her uniform in this story. ^^ Its stated in the first chapter 'pants' that she is wearing jeans, and mentioned repeatedly over the next few chapter that she is and that she has a sweater.

Though I do agree with you on her uniform and clothing, which is why I had her say it, and get called on it. ^^

Thank you for reviewing TBC! I was so excited by it that I had to reply right away. I'm so pleased you see where I'm going with Ryo's character. I have lots in store for her, but it will be gradual so as to keep it believable. Now...em, I dont know why most of my stories are from Sesshomaru's point of view...sometimes it even scares me O_O. Somewhere along the way...I think I sort of understand Sessh more while Kags is a more flexible character, maybe.

Hm, in this story, no, Sesshomaru and Kagome will not remain to be just friends or anything...things will happen. Mostly difficult things... but I guess you need to wait and find out

True, Shippo will need her for a time, but eventually, he'll get on with his own life, find himself a mate and all, and as for other youkai, sure, she knows them, but she's not really well acquainted with them. It's just not quite the same as someone you're with all the time.

Thank you so so so SO much for reviewing TBC (The Bridal Creed). It means a lot that you took a chance and stepped out of your comfort zone, to try my story. I hope u haven't been dissapointed. I'm glad for the comments you've made so I want to address them for you now:

I hate that Sesshomaru has 4 wife too! My point is to make this a very angsty story. We'll meet the wives several chapters ahead, and we'll see what happens to them. I'll give you an exclusive hint - I'm very Jane Austin in that, I like happy endings. (Though realistic-ish. Yes, i realize that isn't an actual word. )

U are correct. Sesshomaru has no pups. His wives were taken for political purposes. I discussed this in one of the early most chapters but I'll ellaborate here so you dont have to go digging to find it. Example of reasons for such a union would be merging powers, treaties of peace, access to land, etc. Remember this story takes place 500 years ago when such unions were common place. In my story for a youkai, a marriage means little more than a binding contract - although a part of that contract as you mentioned, is husbandly access to his wife (i.e. physical lerv! ) The true binding union for a youkai would be taking a mate, to whom he would most likely have some affection for (if not deeply love) It would be with his mate with which he'd sire a pup and thusly heirs. Now although the wives are not in such a place of honor, they are to be respected and have many liberties due their station. Sesshomaru would treat them well, of course, as is honor bound. You'll see that although his wives drive him crazy, he does care for them... sorta. lol you'll see!

And just like you - Kagome would not take lightly to being just one of his wives. It will be an issue between them as the challenge progresses. Of course this will be brought up later. Although she is Kagome from the same time period, she IS from a much distant land and so her ideals and sensabilities are more "evolved" - for lack of a better term - and more relatable to the modern woman. I'm going to have to leave you with another "trust me." and "you'll see."

Chapter 10 is up and it only took me a week again! I hope you find it enjoyable!
