OMG!!! I so get what your are trying to tell me friend
you see I am 17 years old right now and my parents keep on letting me know to learn things that will actually help me in the future. For instance back when I was 15 I just spent most of my spare times with my friends either chatting or talking on the phone, or I will just draw, or watch T.V. I never botheres to help my mother in the kitchen and she would tell me over and over again come and see how you are supposed to cook, becuase I still had yet to learn, but I never listened to her and she would always let me know to listen to her adivice other wise when the time comes that I would have to cook a meal all by myself I would no nothing. i didn't give no mind to whatever she would tell her words enter my right ear and exit from the left. Then one say I hd to cook a dinner meal for my uncles and I was complete screwed. My mother never let me forget that huge mistake I made by not listening to her. So yeah you are right always listen to your parents becuase you won't know how right they were until it is too late. I'm very soory to hear of tht problem you had it sucks, but your doing better know right? I really hope so *hugs*

If you need help with coloring the biggest thing that could help you is getting a Drawing Tablet for your computer. Something like a tablet is awesome if you already have a program like photoshop. However, I know myself how annoying it is to have to shell out money for things like that, so obviously you don't NEED one. There are a looooot of tutorials on dokuga and especially on deviantart about getting the most out of a tablet or just photoshop.
This is just some really general info, but if you have any questions that are more specific, let me know and I'd love to help!

Thanks for the comments I appreciate the honest opinions, even though I'm really not that great at drawing. Also I'm a guy I know I don't really have anything in my profile saying that so I guess I'll be filling that out sometime soon.

For your questions in my fanart's I do all my linearts with either a extra fine ballpoint pen or use my set of micron pens. On the pic "Protectors" I've taken the remarks about Kagome's face and have tweaked it just a little. In "Ready for Battle" I didn't like the way Sesshoumaru's true form is protrayed in the manga/anime and decided to try and make him look more like he's based on a real dog than a fictional one.
