Hi Leslie!

Thank you for your review on Inevitability, and I apologise for my incredibly delayed reply to your reviews! I'm so glad that you liked Chapter 102 and had the opportunity to reread the story! There are a few little hints along the way that foreshadow futures events; I'll admit, though, that I've had to reread Inevitability myself to remember what those events might be

I hope you've been well and keeping safe

Take care!

Feedback from KShadeslady: Hi Miranda,
It’s always so nice to hear from you. We’ve been doing okay. Trying to stay cool in this heat. Had a little break last week but we are back up to 100 again this week. Should get a break on Wednesday and get some rain. The one good thing about it is I stay in and read and get a few chores done ( but mostly read ??). I love your story and I’m looking forward to new chapters. Take care, Leslie

Thanks so much for the lovely review on Seducing Sesshoumaru, my sweet! ^_^ So glad you enjoyed the fic!
Feedback from KShadeslady: You are very welcome. I’m a bit behind on answering my messages. I always love to hear from my favorite authors.

Hi Leslie!

Thank you for your review on Sweet Nothings! I also wish there was a cute, quaint lil bakery for me to attend... I'm sure there are many in my city, but I'm quite happy being an introverted hermit!

My ankle has healed quite nicely, and after this Monday, my physiotherapist thinks I can 'graduate' from the physio program! My range of motion is still limited, but he says that will get better with continued at-home exercises.

I love peaches! My mom used to make canned peaches every summer from our peach tree (before the branches got too heavy and snapped the poor trunk). There's just something about homemade things that are so rewarding, and I'm sure your peach cobbler and jam are amazing!

Are you all prepared for the winter holidays??

Talk to you soon!
-Miranda
Feedback from KShadeslady: Miranda, AARRGGHH, this one slipped by me. But I’m looking at the date and I understand why. I had lost two dear friends within a week of each other in November and then my nephew in early December. He was only a few days younger than my daughter, so the holidays were not happy for me. I read a lot but didn’t do much else. Flew out to California to be with my sister. I’m glad I was able to help her through this very difficult time. It was a tough year. I’m doing better now. I’m glad that you have healed up and I hope by now you are fully recovered. Blessings, Leslie

As always, thank you for all of your reviews on my various stories! It's been so long, that I'm not sure which ones I've replied to and which ones I haven't! I'm glad you liked the latest update of Sweet Nothings; I love writing this story so much and exploring different desserts in different cultures

It sounds like you've been busy this summer with reading and painting! I've been doing a lot of reading (and reviews) for literary journals, which has kept me from writing anything here, and then about two weeks ago now, I fractured my ankle by stepping of a curb onto some grass It's nothing major - no surgery or anything like that - but I do have to wear an aircast for the foreseeable future...

I hope you've been doing well and staying cool in this heat wave we've been having. Where I am, I'm currently surrounded by wildfires, so I hope that, if you have fires near you, you're staying safe, too

Take care, and stay safe!
-Miranda
Feedback from KShadeslady: Oh no! Ouch! As someone who has broken more bones than I care to think about, I totally feel that. Just make sure you let it heal all the way. I know it’s tempting to go full throttle when you feel better but you will be happy later ???????? I’m glad it wasn’t a really serious break though. Still a pain.
I love this coffee house fic. I need a place like that. Hmmm, fresh made tiramisu ???? I made a fresh peach cobbler tonight. I have overindulged on peaches this year. They are amazing. Our local ones are yummy. So, I’ve made a lot of peach jam and frozen peaches this year???????????? !!
It’s always hot here but I feel bad that the NW and Northern parts of the states are suffering with the weather we normally get. I’ve been watching the Olympics when it’s too hot to be out. Mostly equestrian but also fencing and archery. They were fun! So you stay well and take it easy on your ankle. Sending healing prayers ??
Leslie
Do it looks like all my emojis came out as question marks. Guess I’ll need to figure out how to add those here. Ah well!

Hello! I know I've answered and left replies on AO3, but I'll leave them here as well! Thank you for being so supportive of my writing! I wish you could understand that I am sending a giant hug your way, because I honestly don't know how else to express my feelings?
I'm glad you followed me to AO3, and I am glad that we will continue to interact with each other.
As for your review to "Disguise:" did you and your husband really do that? That's so funny! I just wrote it because I thought it would be a funny take on the prompts! I'm glad so many people not only enjoyed it, but also connected with it? That part made me smile. I didn't know it was a common thing apparently.

Thank you again for your kind words and support! And yes, I will send you that samosa recipe soon! Tomorrow likely when I feel confident that my measurements are right!
Oh, and I just realized: sereia here (and on tumblr) and I are on a cook Sesshomaru bandwagon. She keeps sending me cooking prompts and I keep writing Chef Sesshomaru drabbles. I just remembered this because you mentioned glasses and cooking Sesshomaru, and I thought you might enjoy that!

Hi Leslie!

Thanks for even more love on Compatibility! Inuyasha is definitely playing mind games - poor Kagome!

I just read Kaoruhana's Mamoru, and I really enjoyed the nice blend between the Inuyasha/Naruto universes. I've got a couple of her other stories lined up as well! Now that the summer is here, there are so many opportunities to write!

Oh my goodness, that's way too hot! Poor lil puppies, but you're right: thank god for a/c!

Hope you're keeping cool!
-Miranda
Feedback from KShadeslady: Hi Miranda,
You are very welcome and I always appreciate your reply’s back. Just holding my breath to see how far down that rabbit hole she is going to plunge.

Yes, summer is here…with a vengeance! The hot days are great for catching up on my reading! I guess I kind of slipped right through the Summer Solstice! I usually catch it but it’s been a busy week. Hard to believe we are on the downhill side of this year!

We finished having our rental house repainted and refloored. So it’s ready for the new tenant to move in. Our previous tenants had been there for 14 years. They didn’t go far, they bought the house next door. We were sorry to lose them but I’m happy they have a new home. Our place desperately needed a refresher.

Well, it’s almost the end of my shift and the low clouds are rolling in. The rapidly changing conditions will keep me busy.

Cheers, Leslie

Hi Leslie!

As always, thank you for your wonderful reviews on all of my stories! It's been...a difficult couple of weeks, so I don't even remember which reviews I've responded to at this point!

I'm glad you liked Sesshomaru's semi-spicy chapter in Compatibility! He's so fun to write - spicy or non-spicy. But let's be honest, even when he's not spicy, he's still pretty great Kagome is definitely in for a roller coaster over the next couple of chapters, though. Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship seems to be on rocky terrain at the moment!

I can't wait to write the next chapter of Inevitability with Kagome's reaction to Sesshomaru joining them in the family bath - hehe!

I'm so happy that you're enjoying Sweet Nothings! I'm in the process of drafting up an outline so that it has a tentative plotline to follow. Can't wait to jump back into that story, though! Just a fun and sweet little story

And thank you for sending Kaoruhana my way! I've added a couple of her stories to my 'To Read' list, and I can't wait to settle in for the ride

How have you been? I hope you aren't too affected by the heat wave we're having. We're supposed to get up to the mid 40s this weekend (113 Fahrenheit), so I'm making plans to either be inside or to be very close to a body of water!

Take care and stay safe!
-Miranda
Feedback from KShadeslady: I love your stories Miranda! I’m glad you are having fun with fluff! Some you just have to have fun. kaoruhana is keeping me busy with all her stories. She is on a roll. Although, to be honest, it seems all of my favorite authors, yourself included, have all been very busy writing stories.
It’s been getting up into the middle 90s here. We had a front come through last night and we got cooled down a lot. It was 64 this morning, which was very nice. It got up into the low 80s today. Back to the heat tomorrow though. I have to walk in the morning with the dogs before it gets too hot. We have SharPei and they have short snouts which limits their breathing. They get overheated fast. We have to keep them cool. I’m not overly great in the heat myself either. We’ve lived here for 29 years and I still can’t take the heat. Thank goodness for a/c.

Take care of yourself , Leslie

Hello! I'm so behind on replying to your reviews (here and on A03). Sesshomaru would be a tough trainer wouldn't be? I'd be scared if he was supposed to be my teacher in anything. I don't know about carpenter Sesshomaru, but I'm in the mood to write Sesshomaru with glasses if someone ever gives me a prompt that works. I'm so glad you're enjoying these drabbles (even the angsty ones I've been churning out lately with my drabble ask).

I hope you enjoy your weekend! I'm taking today to relax and catch up on reading and writing (and answering reviews).
KH
Feedback from KShadeslady: I love Sessh with glasses! That’s his hot, smart guy disguise! Like Superman. I guess we could call him SuperYoukai. ???????? You could write him up in different kinds of jobs; chef; pastry chef; teacher (HS or older…reference that scene from the first Indiana Jones movie, where all the female students are flirting with him). Gardener ( I can see him sculpting landscapes or melting unruly weeds out of existence ????).

I need to go, just got off of work and, sadly, need to get ready for my friends memorial service. He had ALS and passed away recently. He was a very sweet man and I will miss him.

Have a Wonderful weekend, Leslie.

Hi Leslie!

Thank you so much for all of your reviews and comments on Compatibility and now on Sweet Nothings as well! Your reviews and continued support always bring a smile to my face If I'm not mistaken, I think you've been with me on my creative journeys the longest! You've been following all of my stories either since their inceptions or very soon after, and I'm so happy that we have had the opportunity to connect

I finally got my first shot! I'm so very happy about it; it doesn't mean I won't take precautions, but later today, I'll be going to visit my grandma for her 89th birthday, which is very exciting!

I haven't read any of Kaoruhana's work in a very long time, so I'll have to get back on the bandwagon and catch up!

I'm so happy that you will be able to visit your family (or have already visited your family), and I'm glad to hear that you SIL has found a job and that their bee-siness is going well

Hope you're doing well!

Take care, and stay safe,
-Miranda
Feedback from KShadeslady: Hi Miranda,

I love your new story! I’m such a sucker for fluff with some mystery! I sent hairy Hana about your new story and asked her to check it out. She has been sending me stories to read that aren’t getting a lot of views. So I’ve discovered a few new writers. One is. Sess/Kag/Harry Potter cross over! I love it! Happenstance by Sage McMae. I love how she mixes the two worlds together.

I’m glad you got your shot and even happier that you are going to see your grandmother! Wahoo! That is so Wonderful! I think the worst aspect of all this has been that families have been separated from one another! ????

Have a great weekend! Cheers, Leslie

Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm sure by now you've seen that Guard just keeps on going. And as for Congress, sometimes it feels like we do need someone like Sesshomaru to get things done doesn't it?
Have a great Friday! And a lovely weekend!
Feedback from KShadeslady: I’m am so behind on my reading (that’s what happens when you are reading too many books! Dramatic RME…cause you can never read too many books!) But I’m working this weekend and it looks like the weather will be kind and I’ll be able to get some reading done. Can’t wait to start reading all your stories.
