About Me

About me, hmm, that's easy... I'm a 63 yr old widow woman with a 35 yr old daughter who actually got me into the world of Anime and fanfiction 23 years ago. I have been been blessed with my first granddaughter,  Aria Astra,a year ago and she with her mom and dad live with me in the mid west in the US. I am disabled with too many things going on that I will not bore you with the details. Suffice it to say, I am bedridden often and my laptop (a gift from my loving husband) keeps me in blissful happiness reading fanfiction.  My favorite pairing is Sesshoumaru and Kagome.

I am not a writer and I don't believe I'd even try but I do love getting caught up into this world of fanfiction. I have a wide range of things I enjoy reading so I can't pinpoint just any one type. If a story peaks my interest and is written with some semblance of order and sense I read it and review it because I feel that if you took the time and effort to write and post the story, you deserve the opinions of the readers. I am saddened that too many readers don't take the time to at least jot down their approval if they did like the fic, it encourages the writers to broaden their skills.

So, this is me and you writers here in this world are one of my biggest reasons for living. Through your imaginations I get to go places I can never go and enjoy each new adventure you take me on. I can never express enough my heart felt gratitude for your gifts of writing you do for free and I will be a fan for as long as you continue to write and allow me to go along for the ride and for you who review so often, I enjoy reading your reviews as much as the writers. You all encourage me more than you know.

Thanks for the lovely and insightful review as always. I am so sad to hear that your husband was ill and what that brings to you and family. I will send out a prayer for your family. They buried Yuki, and yes that was what Kagome wanted being from the future. (Should have stated that fact)lol. I am glad that you are enjoying my work, and I really try with the tenses but I mess up at times. I am please to know that you overlook them, but I would really love some advice on how to make my grammar better. Maybe you are not aware but I spoke Spanish until I was fifteen. I left my homeland and went to an English speaking country where I had to learn the language to finish high school and college. Speaking English and writing it can be hard at times but I am managing.
Feedback from Tana_san: You are doing wonderfully with our language. It's difficult for many of us that have grown up here so no biggie. I wish I knew enough to beta for you but alas I'm quite delinquent in this area. Not as bad as some but still not good enough to rely on.
Anyway, I have to retract my comment over the burial as I was watching the anime where Inu and Miroku buried all the bodies slain in Sango's villiage, so I guess they do both ways. A Japanese friend said that burning was the way they did it mostly so their bodies couldn't be used for evil but then you can do anything in cartoons...who really knows, right? I'm glad you enjoy my lengthy reviews. I know you get more points when we do a review for each chapter but my time is so always up in the air I figure you'd like hearing my thoughts either way, plus there's a lot of others who do one liners to bring up the ratings anyway. I'm too sleepy to read tonight but I will catch up, promise. And you ARE an amazing writer with a wonderful imagination to put our favorite characters through. JEN

Yay! I missed reading your reviews The bathroom scene- I keep trying to imagine his face and it's like a weird cross between a pout and a sigh. And yes, his waiting- I think it was because he was all sweaty but maybe he was also kind of curious as to what Kagome was up to in the bathroom. I think little things like wearing his clothes for the first time or that tiny moment when she worries for him as he does yard work are important. Plus, this couple is young, they have time to enjoy all of this and experience all the amazing things before they start to plan for a larger family. As for the surprise, well I would be too if I were in his shoes. It's that first moment of "OMG- did he/she just say that!" And then follows that fluffy feeling of happiness and warmth. And really, trust me, there's better romance authors out there. For you to tell me I write it wonderfully though- well that does make me quite happy!

My parents don't really do Valentine's Day. Part of it is because in India it wasn't a big holiday until recently and so their first introduction to the day was when we moved to the US 16 years ago. My dad has given my mom small gifts from time to time- perfumes, jewelry, etc. but they celebrate their anniversary and birthdays in a bigger, more romantic way. One year though, I remember getting a gift card from my father on Valentine's Day. Of course, right after I called him to check whether or not my birthday gift had come 11 days early (luckily for me- it didn't).
It was really hard to write the Valentine's Day stuff because I had to be true to Japanese culture while still emphasizing that this was the second romantic holiday they were spending together. Glad to know I described it well. As for White Day- yes, I do know about it. What I'm going to have him do for it though is a mystery. I read on the internet that gifts guys give to their significant other's for White Day are twice as grand/expensive/etc. as the gifts given to them. So something twice as grand as a cake?

Thanks for the review! I hope you had a great Valentine's Day and that you weren't stuck in snowy weather.

Thank you for your review! I guess I can understand how Kagome's mom feels; my grandmother kind of acts that way around my cousin. She was supposed to be a great grandmother by now. And my dad does the same thing to my mother. It's half cute, half annoying. I hope you like the rest of the story!

I always look forward to your reviews they are so thoughtful and inspiring. I will do my best to answer some of your queries. I did some research on dragons and they were said to be mostly males and asexual; they carried an egg and the offspring would only inherit one type of gene naturally. So the baby dragonlings are pure bred. He used Seira as a host so that they could feed and grow by attaching many blood vessels to her arteries outside of the womb when the natural way proved a failure.

The daughter was conceived naturally and grew inside the placenta like the babies that died before, but remember lady Harumi's potion helped the baby to survive and be healthy. Her mate did not know about that when he deposited the eggs inside her. The female is half ryu and half dog demon, she is unique. Kagome and Sesshomaru will have twenty five more years together in peace before Bokuseno's prediction comes through, the rest you will find out as the story progresses. Thanks for the great review, and I am smiling right now.

Thank you for your review! This is going to be a super long reply as I'm going to reply to both reviews you put up! Your words make me so happy as a writer. Honestly, I don't set out to write amazing stories but I set out to write what I feel I can. When I see readers who tell me that they were touched by the work, well- it makes me feel like I'm not only dong a good job but that I'm making people happy as well.

As for the jealousy- I based that off the petty and silly arguments my parents have from time to time. They basically poke fun at each other until both start laughing or my sister and I call them children. And yes, quite a few have started because Dad's jealous when Mom says she likes certain actors on T.V. The fact that they still do this after 24 years together still surprises me. But then I think- that's what I want in the future.

I understand the apartment thing as well. When I first moved into my on-campus apartment last year, there were a lot of things that were different. We had no kitchen counter space so we instead used the extra space by our bathroom sink (thankfully outside the bathroom) to stack dishes. And my room- the carpet/rug I had was apparently comfortable enough that I had friends sleep over all the time as we did homework together. So I learned to adapt- extra pillows on the bed, an extra comforter in the closet, an open carpet. The little things that made the place my own but also invited others.

And the arrangement too is my own take. In a way, it's kind of like when I moved into college and met my current best friend. We had communicated all summer but it was only when we started living together that we learned each other's likes/dislikes/needs/etc. It's always a give and take, a touch and go type of thing. You need to learn what gives and what doesn't. I'm trying to think about this entire relationship in a manner where I pretend I'm Kagome. I'm trying my best to show a young woman who is slowly accepting and learning from her relationship, not someone who regrets her hasty decisions. It makes me relieved to know that whatever I'm doing is apparently coming off just how I want it to. It's my first time really analyzing and writing a relationship that goes at the pace this one does.

Thank you a lot for each and every review you have given. They aren't just detailed but they actually do tell me what I'm doing right and wrong. You have a way of encouraging others and I myself have to give you kudos for your writing. I'm quite sure that me and quite a few others would love to thank you and show you/tell you how much your reviews make our day. Really, thanks a lot! And please, continue to read the story and enjoy it. I won't be updating as constantly for a while, but when I do, I hope you'll read it!

Jen you made my whole year with that review. Lol! I honestly appreciate every word of it. I am so pleased that you are so riveted by it. Lol. Anyhow you made some wonderful points, especially about the withdrawal method. I will take that under advisement and be more cautious with the explanations, so as not to mis-inform the younger readers who I hope is not reading this story since it is rated MA. Thanks again for your very thoughtful review.

Can I tell you how much I love your review? I just loved it!

As for Kagome's mother giving her hand away, it was to save the shrine. Kagome had said in the past she'd do anything for the shrine and she knew Kagome's love for the shrine so she thought at first Kagome wouldn't appreciate the idea but would come to like it.

Yay for Kagome's spunk! I like it too.

As for Kagome figuring out Shin'ichi's real identity (because it is obvious who he is, this is Dokuga after all), it will happen because of the jewel. Sure, he won't ever directly tell her, she'll make the conclusion on her own. I won't spoil anymore because, for the story, it is heavy spoiler moment that leads up to this which will make the story earn its title The Value of Each Other.

She may have spunk but Kagome is a nice person. Sure, at first she'll be wary and look for faults but she's not that stubborn. She isn't Inuyasha after all. And she also loves the shrine. She was surprised, and she was still dealing with that surprise, but she was starting to think about and was more along the lines of 'well, if it doesn't work out and I don't like him, then I'm not marrying him, but I can give him a chance right?'

I'm glad you liked it. I'm enjoying writing it.

And I'm glad that you like the longer chapters. At first it was just supposed to be chapters around 400-700 and then bam, first chapter was over 2000. Go to write the next chapter, thinking it's only going to be 1000 and bam, 3000. That's why it's marked one-shot collection, because my original expectation was, well this was a one time deal. Nope.

XD Thank you for reviewing 'Family Ties' again. I totally agree, and I'm pleased that the drabbles inspired so strong a reaction. It's reassuring to know that I can write a realistic AU with Kagome being a Mommy by Sesshy.

AU is fun.

Thank you again for reviewing.

Yay! I love your reviews because they are so detailed and chalk full of information! My sister and I are somewhat like Souta and Kagome so that's where I get all my information. As for the rest- honestly I'm wining it. I'm just happy that for someone who hasn't experienced Kagome's situation I'm apparently doing a decent job. I know how hard it is to change sleeping habits- it took me quite a bit to go to sleep at a regular time after graduating from university.
