What Is Held To Be True by Michelle

Kagome's POV

I sat in the waiting room a bit longer before a nurse came up to me.

"Miss, I'm sorry, but who are you here for?" I could tell she didn't actually want to talk to me.

"My friend." I said, pointedly, just as I had to the other nurse. She tried again to talk to me but I ignored her.

I was glad. I didn't know if he went by the same name as he did long ago or not, but I needed his help and I wasn't going to let anything get in my way.

I focused back on keeping my item wrapped up and continued to wait until visiting hours were over. Finally I saw him walk out of an office as if he was leaving and followed him out to the parking lot, where he stopped and turned to where I hid in the shadows.

"Who's there?" He shouted. I stepped out of the shadows seeing no point in hiding any longer. "Miko? So this is where you went."

"I assumed you would want this back, Sesshomaru." He took the wrapped up item and unwrapped it only enough to see what it was, then covered it again.

"No, miko. Keep it. If anything, use it for practice." He placed it back in my hands and then got in his car.

I didn't notice until he drove away that he also handed me a card with an address, phone number, and a name that I could only assume to be his new alias on it.
