Caged Bird by Huntress11

Prolouge:

“KAGOME,” yells Inuyasha from the other side of the gardens.

I flinch wondering what the idiot wants now. I look to my left and see him and Kikyo striding quickly my way. A gleam of anger is in his eyes; her eyes show pure happiness in knowing that pain is coming my way. He grabs my hair and pulls to where I am face to face with him.

"What have you been told about being in the gardens," Inuyasha demands with a growl.

"Only for formal events," I reply lowly. "A party is happening this ngiht is it not and some of the guest have arrived. Would it not be bad for the guest to come to the gardens and see no one of the household being there to greet them."

Kikyo smile widens as she says, "The party was canceled."

"Guess what that means," Inuyasha hisses in pleasure as he hits me in the stomach.

'The idiot never did have the patience for anything,' I think as I pass out.

I awaken to cold chains holding me in place as Inuyasha and Kikyo beat me. I do not give the pleasure of hearing me scream or moan. They yell for their little “Song Bird” to sing but I never make a sound other than an occasional grunt. They may break my body but my mind shall never be broken. Kikyo passes hot flames under my finger tips as Inuyasha chokes me. He allows me air after I faint and reawakens me with a bucket of cold water. The water feels good on my burnt skin. I spit in his face and he punches me in the gut twice. Kikyo takes out two small knives and starts making cuts across my arms. Inuyasha kicks and punches my ribs bruising some and break many.

After about six hours of this, they order the soldiers to release me and take me back to my quarters.  I can barely feel the broken limbs and ribs as well as deep lacerations across my back, as they carry me back to my room. A favorite pass time of theirs’ is to whip me to the bone and see how long it takes for them to completely heal. Sometimes they add poison to the whips to test the poison out.

The soldiers open my door and drop me right inside, before slaming the door shut and looking it from the outside. I sit on the cold ground for a second before forcing myself to my feet. I look towards my lone table and sigh as no food is on it. Well no food for me today. I limp slowly over to the wash basin and pick up a rag. I wet it before gently wiping the blood from my body. I tenderly cater to my wounds. My broken arm has started to mend itself and some of the small cuts have already sealed shut.

Tiredness over comes me as I lay down on the bed of straw with a thin cover. The day’s events have taken their toll on my body and mind. I look over to the lone window in the room and see the setting sun. A couple of birds fly by the window and I wish I was like them free to fly away. I am a caged bird once free. Now I am locked away in a cage of stone and steel. Someday I will be free of this hell hole, and I will have my revenge. They will rue the day the caged me, Kagome Higurashi the Shikon Miko. I lay on my stomache so that the wounds on my back will not break back open.

Well guys and girls, let me know if you want more. I know that this is not much to go off of but I did not want to go to far.
