“Mom, dad, this is Kagome. She is my best friend,” Inuyasha belatedly introduced the girl.
“Yes, of course,” Izayoi replied warmly, “Let me accompany you, Kagome. Rin can be somewhat mischievous. Must keep an eye on her.”
“Oh, but she looks like such a wonderful, young lady!” Kagome countered, grabbing my sister’s hand and twirling her around.
“Karite Kita Neko,” Izayoi laughed.
Rin gave Kagome a toothy smile, and I almost saw the fake halo on top of her head.
As the three females walked away, my father turned to look at me. “So, when did you get a girlfriend?”
