“Lord Sesshoumaru”

Elegant amber eyes lifted from the scrolls strewn about the chabudai before him. His study was a sacred and quiet place that he resides when he was not traveling. This knowledge is spoken to each servant for there was severe punishment for those who thought to disrupt him. He could smell the kneeling general just behind the shoji doors. He gave no response but paused his reading. The army general took that as good response to continue.

“Villagers at the western border, near Inuyasha’s Forest, are distraught with a strange aura coming from the Bone Eaters Well.”

“That is none of this Sesshoumarus concern.”

The general prided himself that he did not fidget from the taciturn tone of the irritated taiyoukai.

“It is a strong yokai, Sesshoumaru-sama.” He spoke, “A dark malicious power rivaling that of yourself.”

There was a moment of silence before the shoji door slid open revealing the six foot seven demon, dressed in his armor and swords. His eyes were cold and calculating. The taiyoukai ran his kingdom and lands with an iron fist. He knew everything about his domain and more. Though he did not care for the welfare of the half demon pinned to the forest tree or the human village beyond his border, he was curious to this appearance of yokai. If his general is correct, yokai such as that does not just appear nor does it appear for no reason.

The general stood, “Shall I accompany you, my lord?”

“No.”
