Kagome paused for a short while, caught between her hysteria about everything and then panic for Sesshomaru’s confused inquiry. In her mini-breakdown, she let something slipped, quickly forgetting how sharp he really was.
“The box thing is my passage home,” she started delicately.
He drew closer to her side, his head tilting sideways as he waited for more explanation.
“It’s protected by ancient magic, allowing me to fulfill my destiny here.”
“It doesn’t let you back home?”
“Guess I’m stuck here with you.”
He didn’t reply. But his youki settled around her like a ruff of fur, relaying his satisfaction.
