“I can‘t stand that man.” Kagome sighed, sitting down on one of the benches in the women’s locker room, scooting slightly to make room for Sango to sit, as well.
“Cheer up, Kagome. I don’t see how one person could make you so stressed out.” Sango replied, leaning her head back to rest against the wall.
Ever since Sesshomaru had joined their team, he had been insulting and taunting poor Kagome to the point of a nervous breakdown. Why was it only her he was rude to? Couldn’t he find someone else to pick on? Perhaps a poisonous snake?
“I don’t understand what I did wrong! I’ve been nice to him and even offered to help him when I’m not busy on the floor…what did I do, Sango?” Kagome groaned, kicking off her work shoes as she stood up, working the buttons on her blouse.
“Maybe he doesn’t know what to say. That might just be normal for him.” Sango suggested, joining Kagome as they took off their work clothes so that they could change into their usual attire.
“Still, that doesn’t give him the right to be such a jerk.” Kagome disagreed, throwing her old clothes in a soiled laundry bag and handing it to Sango, who tossed hers in as well.
“Give him another chance, Kagome. You hardly know anything about him, so don’t go making accusations at the poor guy.”
“Poor?! He’s a rude, arrogant, pompous jerk face who thinks he’s on top of the world and you’re defending him?!” Kagome screeched, dropping the laundry bag.
“Oh, Kagome! You know that’s not what I meant!” Sango laughed, amused at her friends crazy antics. She pulled a pair of pants from her locker and grabbed her shirt as well, sitting back on the bench as she finished dressing.
“I know, Sango. I’m just angry that he’s being so…uncooperative.” She blushed, remembering the remark she made about the whipped cream and cinnamon.
“I know you are, Kagome, but being angry at him isn’t going to solve anything. Ask him out for coffee before you work together again. Maybe you can learn a couple of things about him.” Sango suggested, standing up to button her pants as she smoothed her shirt out.
‘Knowing my clumsy self, I’d go off telling him how I’d love for him to just thrown me down and have his nasty, filthy way with me.’ Kagome thought, though she wouldn’t mind if he did do that.
He was, after all, a very sexy man. And as she remembered from watching those practiced hands cook, she had no doubts that he’d be very skilled in other areas.
“Fine, I’ll ask him. Don’t expect a fairy-tale ending, though.”
“I wouldn’t ask for anything more.” Sango grinned, walking out of the locker room with purse in hand.

Kagome sat in the restaurant, staring at him through the window connecting to the kitchen. What do you say to someone you can’t really stand to talk to, but find very irresistible?
Nothing. You sit alone in dining room and gawk at them.
Until they catch you.
“Girl, cease your staring.” He said, raising an elegant brow at her as he finished chopping onions with ease. She couldn’t help but stare at his hands and think dirty things.
‘Look away, Kagome…look away…’ she tried to force herself, her eye twitching.
“Woman, are you deaf? Quit staring, or I shall force you to do otherwise.”
“You can force me all you want…” she said quietly, unable to pry her eyes from those delectable looking fingers.
“Care to repeat that?” He questioned, not sure if he could believe his ears.
“I said to meet me at the coffee shop tomorrow morning before work!” She yelled, blushing deeply as she realized her mistake.
‘I can’t trust my voice around him!’
“I will consider it.” He finally replied, much to her expense. Feeling her voice would betray her again, she stood up and left the restaurant, her thoughts drifting to the fact that she had a date with the so called stubborn man.
‘Well…he definitely adds color to my life.’
