Shadow of Love(Soundtrack challenge)
Sesshoumaru sat against the cave wall, he had pulled Kagome into his lap some time ago. She wasn’t doing anything, there was no reaction and that disturbed him. She was a human and an emotional human at that. She had to have some kind of response. She was most likely just attempting to hide it from him. Such a silly thing to do.
“Kagome, talk to this Sesshoumaru.” He said as he turned her head to look at him, it was only now that he realized that she had been crying this entire times, he saw the silent tears that rolled down her cheeks and could not help but cup them and hug her to himself. “Kagome, this one is here for you. You do not have to fear.”
“I loved him so much. As a friend and so much more, how will I go on without him?”
“Kagome what you had with him was but a shadow of love.”
“I know, but that loss, it still hurts. He wouldn’t even look at me Sesshoumaru!” She started crying and buried her head in his chest.
“I know miko, I know.”
