Chapter 1: Ambiguous Future
Life was peaceful in Feudal Japan.
The land, which had once been ravaged by the vile schemes of a certain spider hanyou, was finally showing signs of returning to its former state of prosperity.
Yes, it seemed as though all was well, and most were overeager to leave the memories of their bloody past behind them, fully content to start their lives anew. After all, their future had been ensured by the most unlikely of allies; a ragtag group of the bravest individuals.
However, none remembered that Fate was a fickle mistress…and was one that enjoyed playing very dangerous games.
