Kagome breathing stopped as she watched him get closer. She was doing the usual: ‘ohmygodohmygodohmygod’ thing in her head. She couldn’t move. Her eyes closed as his lips meet hers in a soft chaste kiss. He pulled back and smirked down at her. She blushed and looked down. Something brushed past her leg and she screamed.
“What was that?” she asked. Sesshomaru chuckled, watching an orange kitten dash into the house.
“Just a cat” he said. Kagome sighed; her heart was beating fast, not from the scare but from the kiss. She felt like her chest was going to explode.
