The Hidden Room by Kai

“Are you sure this is safe?” Kagome whispered softly as she looked at the cottage. It looked old like someone hadn’t been there for a long time.

Sesshomaru chuckled as he grabbed Kagome’s bag and walked to the front door. “You’re being silly. You’ve been begging for a weekend getaway from me for how long? Now let’s get inside and find a room. Inuyasha and his girl should be here by now.”

Kagome sighed as she followed her boyfriend into the large cottage. She had been begging for a long time to her boyfriend that she wanted to have a weekend getaway with him and their friends. Now here they were at this old, yet large two story cottage. It even had vines growing up the side!

“Inuyasha! Are you here?” Sesshomaru snapped as he walked in.

Kagome coughed slightly at the large amount of dust inside. “Wow Sesshomaru, has no one been here for a long time?”

Inuyasha leaned over the stairway. “Hey Sesshomaru, something’s off here.”

The older brother arched an eyebrow. “Off? How?”

Kikyou walked back inside. “There are ten windows on the second floor.” She said, rubbing her arms up and down.

Sesshomaru was getting sick of the games. “So?”

“There’s only nine rooms up here.” Inuyasha told his brother.

Kagome felt a shiver go down her spine. “There’s no way. I mean, you guys must have counted wrong!” She ran outside and began to count the windows. “Nine… ten.” As she counted the last window, she saw something move past it.

Her eyes went wide before she shook the feeling off. It was probably Sesshomaru counting the rooms. Quickly she ran back inside. “Sesshomaru, there’s only ten windows outside.” She said as she walked up the stairs.

“I found our missing room.” The silver haired man said as he stood in a long hallway. “It’s covered with wallpaper so you couldn’t see it.”

Kagome stood, frozen in spot. “Wait… if you were there then… who walked by the window?”

Kikyou shivered as she held onto Inuyasha. “Inu, I don’t want to stay here tonight. This is just too creepy."

Inuyasha chuckled. “Come on guys. There’s no such thing. The door is probably taped over because of some weird reason. Now let’s get going to the beach girls!”

Kagome sighed as she dried her hair off. It had been a long day. The beach, shopping, then the dinner. It was already so late outside and she was dead tired.

“Kagome,” Sesshomaru whispered as he wrapped arms around her. “How are you feeling?” He began to kiss her beck, causing the girl to sigh happily.

“I’m really tired.” She muttered.

Kagome froze. “What was that?” Her voice was soft.

Sesshomaru sighed as he let Kagome go. “Stop it Inuyasha. You’re not fooling anyone.

“What the hell are you talking about man?” Inuyasha said as he walked into the room, Kikyou right behind him. “We were about to come here and tell you to knock it off. I can’t sleep with you scratching at our walls.

Kagome froze completely. “Sesshomaru… if we’re all here… then who is scratching at our walls?”

Sesshomaru’s golden eyes narrowed at the wall. They were next to the sealed room. “This is ridiculous. There is no such thing as ghost.” He stormed out of the room and went to the door behind the wallpaper. With a hard, well placed kick, he kicked the door open. Instantly the man froze.

Kagome looked in, her eyes became wide and a loud scream was ripped from her lips.

Inside was a little girl, hanging from the ceiling by a rope. All around her, on the walls were the bloody words and scratch marks.

I’M SORRY DADDY PLEASE LET ME OUT
